Privacy & sharing

What is kept

When sharing is enabled and you send a memory, the memorial stores your name, connection to Cole, optional email, words, photographs, sharing choice, and consent date in Supabase. The website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites; Supabase processes memory submissions. A hashed network identifier helps limit repeated submissions; the application does not store your raw IP address in its database. Hosting providers may retain their own operational logs.

Who can see it

Designated family reviewers can see submitted information. If you choose public sharing, your name, connection, words, and photographs can appear after approval. Your email is never shown publicly. Family-only contributions cannot be published through this site.

Photographs

Photos are stored in a private bucket. Temporary viewing links are issued only for approved public memories or signed-in family reviewers. Do not share a private viewing link. Uploaded files may include location or other embedded metadata; remove metadata before sharing if you do not want to disclose it.

Changing your mind

Before sending, you can edit your words, remove photos, or close the page. After sending, contact the family or site owner to request correction or removal. You can also use the memory form, select “For Cole’s family only,” and describe your correction or removal request. Include an optional contact email so the reviewer can follow up. Memories are retained for the memorial until the family or site owner removes them.

Unfinished uploads

If an upload stops, a private draft may remain in the archive. It cannot be published. The site owner should regularly remove abandoned drafts and their photographs.

Your permission

Share only words and photographs you have permission to contribute. Choose family-only when a memory is personal. Public material can be copied by visitors after publication.
